Danielle serves as the board chair and is the Director of Adult Education at the Colorado Department of Education. She was a founding teacher at a charter school in NYC and has also done education policy work at the district and federal levels.

Dennis Cyr serves as treasurer of the board. After retiring from the IRS in 2004 after almost 34 years of service, he lives in Denver and works part-time a tax practitioner. He began his career as a Revenue agent in the Manhattan District and worked overseas for the Office of International Operations. He began his management career in the IRS National Office and held several positions including Computer Audit Specialist Manager in the Los Angeles District, tax shelter Branch Manager in the Laguna Niguel District, and Chief Examination Division in the Denver District. Dennis also served as Executive for Compliance in the Southwest Region and Chief Small Business Research in Denver. He is a graduate of Boston College and has served on the boards of 1311 York St, Children’s Charities of America, Community Education Outreach, Hornbuckle Foundation, and Larimer Place Homeowners Association.

Doug Elliott earned his undergraduate degree at U.C.L.A. and his M.B.A. at the University of Denver. In between those two degrees, he served for three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the West African country of Sierra Leone. He has served on a variety of nonprofit Boards and Advisory Boards (including the Women’s College at D.U., Colorado Charter Facilities Solutions, 5280 High School, and Edgewater Collective) and has provided consulting services to a number of organizations in the Rocky Mountain region.  Over the past decade, Doug has held numerous positions at the Daniels Fund. He has served as a program officer in the grants department where he managed grant making activities in New Mexico, and has covered the program areas of Amateur Sports, Education, and Youth Development in Colorado. Doug has also served as the Director of Scholar Relations at the Daniels Fund, where he oversaw the progress of scholarship recipients during their tenure in college.  His current role at the Daniels Fund is that of Senior Program Officer - Grants Program. This work includes review and recommendations to the Board on K-12 Education Reform and Early Childhood Education grant proposals, as well as working with all Denver metro area colleges and universities. He also covers all Daniels Fund programs in the state of Utah.  Doug is married to a beautiful Ugandan woman (now an American citizen) and they have three girls, ages 16, 14 and 8.

Linda Brown, Director, has a strong passion for education and a long history of volunteer nonprofit leadership work. She has served on the boards of Art Garage, Scholars Unlimited, East Angels Friends & Alumni, as well as several school committees and boards.
